Joe, whose life splits into two parallel paths after a critical choice, the actors explore the themes of fate, consequence, and self-discovery. The ensemble captures the charm and grit of London, with each performer bringing distinct characters to life, from friends and family to foes. Their chemistry and versatility shine in scenes packed with humor, emotion, and infectious Madness songs like “House of Fun” and “Our House,” making for an engaging, dynamic performance. Special mention to Katie Elliot and Emily Holtom for their outstanding and energetic performance, which truly brought the characters to life.

Yes, I would recommend 'Our House,' especially if you enjoy musicals with a mix of humour, energy, and a thought-provoking storyline. However, I was a little disappointed to hear a snippet of Melanie Bateman's (Sarah) voice performing a solo during the latter stages of Act 1; that said I was pleasantly rewarded with several solo numbers during Act 2 which delighted both the audience and myself! The play has a unique structure that explores parallel realities, which keeps the story engaging as it examines how one choice can shape a life in very different ways. The music by Madness adds a lively and nostalgic atmosphere, with songs that many people already know and love. It's also visually dynamic, with choreography that complements the upbeat ska/pop tunes.

A word of caution that the performance contains some mild language, flashing lights and smoke haze.

'Our House' has something for everyone—music fans, those who enjoy reflective storytelling, and people who appreciate British humour and charm. It's a great choice for anyone looking for an entertaining night out with a bit of depth.
